"My Own Wonderland", 2010
This was done for
=VivalaVida 's contest - the theme was to create your own wonderland. My wonderland would include, of course, a host of fantasy creatures including unicorns, dragons, faeries, and animals who talk and wear clothing. My wonderland would have no pollution, undisturbed forests, and vast fields bordering a pristine sea. I chose to set the scene at night because I find night time to be peaceful and I love quiet places.
Watercolor on watercolor board - this was my first time trying the board and I think I prefer paper. It seems to be harder to get different techniques to show up on the board - maybe because it absorbs so well?
